Scotty Gimbal Adaptor
 

Alot of anglers have asked about the Scotty Gimbal Adaptor, and how it's used on a fishing kayak. Well....here 'ya go. This is shown on a Malibu Kayaks eXtreme. The flush mount has a gimbal bar across the bottom of it, and the Scotty Gimbal Adaptor has a slot runnung across the bottom of it. The theory being that the bar will fit into the slot and help to keep it from rotating ;) In the top of the Gimbal Adaptor, a corresponding Scotty product that uses a post can be plugged into the top of it like shown here.

The only thing not in the photo is a rod leash holding onto the rod. While trolling, I usually use one....you just never know.
