Promar Gauges
I had read about this a few weeks ago and now it looks like Promar has made an official statement.
This is from another website...posted by Ben Hong from Promar. "Official statement by Promar on Lobster Gauges." Dear Friends and Fellow Anglers, It has recently been brought to our attention by members of the fishing community that some of our Lobster Gauges, item #AC-310, are measuring short by 1/16”-1/32". Although we are certain that there are only a minimal amount of gauges in circulation with this inaccuracy, we must take full responsibility of this error and understand this issue must be addressed immediately and resolved in a timely manner. If in fact you have previously purchased a gauge which is inaccurate, please discontinue use of this product and return it immediately to the store where it was purchased from for exchange. You may also contact Promar for instructions on returning defective gauges directly. Please contact Customer Service at (310) 222-8638 for more information. Re: Promar Gauges
Thanks for the heads up on the gauges. I'll have to put the dial calipers on mine and see how they measure out just to be safe. Things like this is why I never keep a "Just barely legal bug". A little off on the measuring can make the :lobster a very expensive keeper if your off a bit and get a visit from the game warden. Take Care and see 'ya soon,

Re: Promar Gauges
I had previously posted on this - took my gauge and ground it out just a bit oversized. It came about 1/32'" short. Glad to see they finally noticed at Promar.
