Hoopin wit da Boyz Friday night
Took my son Sean and his friend out hoopin last night, along with friend Warren and had another good night.
19 legals, a few octopus, swell sharks, crabs, sculpin, etc... The boys dug the lessons in Marine Biology and spent plenty of time playing with various critters, even got inked by an octopus. A few photos of the nights catch: http://www.allkayakfishing.com/photo.../seanjared.JPG http://www.allkayakfishing.com/photo...dseanjared.JPG ...and the happy campers on the return trip http://www.allkayakfishing.com/photo...nbowbridge.JPG We have the big bugs still alive in a cooler so that the boys can show off their night's catch to all their friends today!!!! It's just way too cool to get a nice load of bugs and see the kids so stoked on it!!! Ed |

Ed,
Damn...we need to call you the "BugMeister". Awesome, just awesome. Lemme know when a seat opens up as my cholesterol count went down to dangerous levels, and I need to raise it back up for health reasons :D. Talk to you soon, Perry |
Re: Hoopin wiht the Boyz Friday night
Will do Perry, I want to get out a few more times before the season closes.
I weighed the 2 big bugs this morning, 6lbs and 5.6lbs on the digi scale! I'm scheduling a weekly angioplasty now! Ed |

No shame Ed, just no shame :worthy:worthy
If the recipe was awesome, please lemme know where it at so I can add it here to the foods forum. We could use some good recipes in there :thumbup Perry |
Re: Hoopin wiht the Boyz Friday night
Here you go:
6 tablespoons butter 1/4 tsp. paprika 2 tsp. chopped onion 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 1 oz. sherry wine (or more!) 1/2 lb. diced shrimp 1/2 cup diced mushrooms 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs (plain or seasoned) 4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese Melt butter in pan; add onions, mushrooms, paprika, garlic powder and wine; simmer for 5 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer another 5 minutes. Place bread crumbs & cheese in bowl, add simmered ingredients and mix well. Stuff lobster cavity (really pack it in) and bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes for a 2lb lobster. The one in the photo was 6lbs and we had to bake it for 1 hour 20 minutes. It was killer!!!
