Made a few calls to see if anyone was interested in making a nice little launch over at Cherry Beach in Long Beach. No takers, so I headed down myself. This is a nice little beach with ample parking and about 30 ft of sand to maneuver. It was lake flat when I arrived at about 7am. Here is a picture of the sand to maneuver looking over toward Island White.

Once offloaded, I rigged up my favorite harbor baits, Kreepy Krawlers.

From there it is about a mile or so paddle over to Island White. This is one of many little oil islands off of the Long Beach area.

I worked inside the boat dock area for about a dozen sandies in about two hours. Nothing big all about 10-12 inches.

After working the rock walls for a few more sandies, I headed back toward the beach for some flattie drifts. No flatties to be had, but picked up a few more sandies in really tight.
On the way in I paddled through a pod of porpoise and took this shot looking from near Island White over towards the Queen Mary.

It was a beautiful morning, but the breeze was really starting to pick up and I left the water by about 11am, which was just about when my meter was going to run out.
I did get a chance to meet Blair out in the parking lot. Nice to meet you Blair.
