Thanks, PerryC. I also watch and post to the Hobie forum but, in this case, the Hobie guy Matt Miller posted about the spare parts kit first on KFS. A short time later he also posted on the Hobie site.
Hobie has been amazingly responsive to user concerns and suggestions.
