leak

i have a 2 inch crack on bottom of x-factor. whats the best way to fix?
its yellow and about 4 years old. leak starts at scupper hole and goes about 2 inches. thanks

Best bet is to take it in to one of the OEX shops and see if they can fix it or if it can be fixed.

1947bigdog, you say Malibu sent you the mats and that it was an easy fix, could you let us know what was sent and how it was fixed?

got a piece of plastic that kayak is made of.
used a wood burning iron to melt plastic, it worked great.
i was going to use a small propane torch, glad i didnt, i would have probably burnt hole in boat.

Really depends upon the material as to which your kayak is made from. Plastic ones are easier to repair, as to the ones made from carbon fiber or fiber glass....
