I have a Humminbird Piranha 215 with a suction cup transducer mount. The problem that I have is that kayak turns to one side when paddling with the transducer mounted to the outside hull. I am considering mounting the transducer inside the hull and am concerned that I won't get all the readings - temperature, fish-id, accurate depth and structures. I've read about all kinds of mounting procedures. My question - will I lose any of the fishfinders readings when mounted inside the hull?

You really wont loose anything as far as readings as long as you do the mounting correctly. If your sonar has temp that reading will be off though.

I have three kayaks with through hull mounts. They all work great. Just make sure there is no air between the transducer and the hull.
