We started the day with a few passes off of Doheny, then we fished mostly the harbor mouth. The south swell kicked up some nice surf, so we played it safe.
We did manage about 10 bass, most of them legal, with one very nice sandie for Julie, and one very nice spottie for Aaron. We also caught a bunch of short halibut, a short barrie, a short WSB, a smoothhound and many very large leopards. Sounds like a lot, but spread out over 15 hours on the water, 5:00AM-8:00PM, it's not as impressive. We had fun all the same. Now if we can only get rid of the creaks in our necks... |
