Do you really want a size 4000 reel.?

I fish 2500 and sometimes wish I had a 1500 or 2000. There's still plenty of line left after hitting bottom on a 2500. With a 1500 you can put braid, then topshot or attach a leader. You have a 7ft rod that could be reached to reattach a leader.

As far as Shimano goes, great warranty and I'd not get the Symetere. Seems heavier than listed and I had one freeze up with a shovelnose on 6# line.

I'm not too sure about the Catalyst, but do know that some Quantums have a magnetic system. That system says it's zero reverse, but it does move back before the magnet engages.

Okuma makes an Awesome Spinning real and they are cheap. Id look at some of their models.
