Go with the Hobie. Been using non-pedal and hobie pedal kayaks for years. If you are cautious in shallow water and can avoid bending the mirage drive, then you'll be fine. It's nice to have your hands free and be able to move as quick as a regular kayak. https://www.paddlemarco.com
