Have fun out there  I'm heading down to San Diego this weekend or else I would be seeing you there for some bass fishing with friends. I'll post up how we do Saturday. Hopefully, we'll get a fish or two, maybe three if we're lucky...Perry

Joe and I arrived at Coast Guard's Beach around 5:30. Conditions were mild but we knew as the evening progressed they would change and not likely in our favor. We still launched and headed straight for the moored boats across form the Coast Guard Station. We went through a 2 hour stretch with not as much as a nibble. The weather then took the expected turn. The winds kicked up along with the current. We toughed it out and continued to fish. We managed to land a few Spotties for our troubles. Conditions didn't seem to lessen so we called it a night and headed back. Looks like we'll stick with morning launches and keep an eye on favorable weather conditions for evening launches. On the positive side, it was good to finally get the line went and knock off the dust from the yak.
