Here is a photo of the way I use them also. The one in the photo is just a regular Cotee lead head about 1/2oz. The Cotee heads come in about 1/4oz to 1 oz, so you have alot of leeway for weights. I just bring it in the nose and out. For techniques, either of those you mentioned will work. I use the twitch first, then if it doesn't produce, I'll try the slow crawl and see if that works better. Some days the fish just seem to want a different bait or presentation.
